Let me first point out that blocking on newgrounds is rather comprehensive.
You can select from many options,
- Chat
- Favorites
- Feeds
- Following you
- Forums
- Friendship
- News
- Portals
- Private Messages
- Project Invites
- Reviews
I have noticed that the block feature for chat works in many ways similar to traditional social media. You block them from interacting with you, but you yourself also cannot see what they have to say. It's very comprehensive this way.
But while this feature is in effect in NG chat, it does not totally extend to the rest of the website. A blocked individual may still interact with you, it's just that you do not receive a notification. You cannot interact with them, but they can still see your posts. This way, it seems less comprehensive.
I do not know if there is a pressing need for this "two-way" method to block interactions with other users. But I figured since it exists in chat, maybe it can exist for the rest of the website in some way, unless it's introduction would be disruptive in some unforeseen way.
