I was expecting your typical indie dev pixel art (that looks on par with the atari 2600 rather than the NES which they claim they're inspired by), but I think you did nicely.

I don't think it's very good, but at the same time, don't think it's irredeemably bad either.
Try starting off in pencil, & sketch in the basic shapes first. The glass part is mostly round while the socket is a cylinder just below it...the orange filament fits in a cylinder, too. Do that & then refine the drawing, & you'll have a better result.

The record sheet I got "as is" just need to rewritten armour values, weapons and quirks (not remember this sheet from any unabridged collection :S )...

I've been practicing a lot lately. This is the latest version. Currently taking a break but will continue later.
