maybe the gremlins just wanted the competitors to feel at home and give them some extra comfort after everything,so they've channeled themselves into their thoughts and gave themselves a light transformation into someone the competitors may know
in my case,i just thought it would be a little more interesting then drawing random balls all over

In the words of the queen of the gremlins:
"Yeah, I like how they can change a little bit their appearance, maybe they change into the master they like, or something that their master likes! They do that all the time"

I think the white background and the bright colors are clashing a bit too much for my liking. Perhaps a darker outline would work better, maybe even a darker background if you decide to keep the white outlines and bright colors. This way you have a bit more contrast and it's easier on the eyes.

i've been thinking the exact same thing, the background was a total hassle for me and i think it did alot more harm then good...
that said though,i wanted to go into a "light hearted" route with that drawing, and i thought that having a dark background wouldn't really fit the atmosphere i was going for. the best i could settle was having a multiply layer to try and atleast reduce the lighting on it while checking my saturation layer to see what works, but even then i felt that the background needs to be as light as possible
heck,i even put on the white outlines to try and distinguish her from the background

Try it with a black outline, she will pop out much more. That being said you can also try a contrasting color instead of going with the green on green you went. A red, even a purple color will make her pop much more.

red sounds like a good option for the background,i've changed it and i do think it works better now. as for the white outlines,i personally prefer her with them up rather then a black outline, i also came to this drawing with the intention of making the outlines as bright as possible,so having them black kinda defeats that purpose
didn't notice i forgot to post this one, atleast i can do so now with an edited version i like better
figured i'd post these 2 on my user profile too
these are my part of colorscrimons' 1bit collab
left this in the backburner for 2 years, just got around to get her done
