Animation Script:

Introduction Speech:

"Hello Newgrounds and Youtube!

You know how when you watch an animation, or a lyric video, you get a nice feeling when there are subtitles synchronized to someone's speech/song in it?

What if: We were to do it to a book, so you could both listen to, and read the book, at the same time?

We could have one sentence written on the screen at a time while it's being read as the audio. Maybe with a nice background related to the book were doing behind it, that changes every two minutes.

I know that there are people who would benefit from this. And for those who don't, it would still be a much more fun experience than just listening to an audiobook or traditional reading.

In theory: when you learn something through more than one sense, it sticks, and it's just more enjoyable to study it. This theory was made by Dimitar Rouynekov, and named “Synchronized Learning.”

This has to do with you gaining memory of the subject both through what you see, and what you hear at the same time.

If this idea gets a lot of likes, we will be doing public domain books per request. Donations are appreciated.

There are only a few people who would truly benefit from this, those who have english as a second language, or someone with a learning disability, but, for everyone, it would be an overall much more pleasurable alternative to reading.”

Sample Of Book, also to be subtitled

“The Count of Monte Cristo

by Alexandre Dumas

Chapter 1: Marseilles—The Arrival

Immediately, and according to custom, the ramparts of Fort Saint–Jean were covered with spectators; it is always an event at Marseilles for a ship to come into port, especially when this ship, like the Pharaon, has been built, rigged, and laden at the old Phocee docks, and belongs to an owner of the city.

The ship drew on and had safely passed the strait, which some volcanic shock has made between the Calasareigne and Jaros islands; had doubled Pomegue, and approached the harbor under topsails, jib, and spanker, but so slowly and sedately that the idlers, with that instinct which is the forerunner of evil, asked one another what misfortune could have happened on board. However, those experienced in navigation saw plainly that if any accident had occurred, it was not to the vessel herself, for she bore down with all the evidence of being skilfully handled, the anchor a–cockbill, the jib–boom guys already eased off, and standing by the side of the pilot, who was steering the Pharaon towards the narrow entrance of the inner port, was a young man, who, with activity and vigilant eye, watched every motion of the ship, and repeated each direction of the pilot.”

Things me, Mongoose, and Tobias need to do:

Draw a background and the three of our characters in front of it for the intro.

Draw one (1) illustration of the book, to be used as the sample

Synchronize the audio with the subtitles

Come up with a better name for my Theory.
