Walking around the neighborhood of East Liberty one day I found three or four books thrown about the ground on the way to the local Sunoco.
My buddy Wyatt had a little brother who found the most interesting piece of litter in a lake. He was fishing in one of the local dams a couple months before it was closed, and he hooked a huge piece of litter. That piece of litter was indeed a dead Asian girl. Twas a strange week or so in the town.

My siblings and I once found two very small kittens crawling out from under the janitorial closet of a restroom station at a drive-in theater. One was a light grey and the dark grey with black stripes. Neither had their eyes open yet so they were kind of wandering around aimlessly. My parents didn't want two extra cats on top of the one we already had so we spent some time asking restroom goers whether or not they were willing to care for strays less than ten days old.

Walking along the shoreline of a river and stumbling upon a foul fish-smelling something inside of a styrofoam food container. My dog had wandered over and popped open the lid, revealing a foul mass of green god-knows-what and ate some of it. It made me dry heave.
Other treasures I found include cony island whitefish, messages in a bottle but instead of a message it's piss, and a stone arrowhead.

My dog also ate mystery garbage once. I was walking him in the deep recesses of the backyard when we stumbled upon some kind of hairball about the size of a tennis ball. It looked like it was held together by saliva and the only limb I could make out was a tail. He scarfed it down and was somehow fine for the rest of the day.

My apartment building has a lot of students that move in and out, and there's a little spot where people leave stuff behind that otherwise gets thrown out. One time I found this chinese girl's diary. It alternated between english and chinese since she was trying to practice. Told a bit of a story, in that she met a guy she liked and was fussing over whether he would notice her or not, and neglected her studies. Talked about moving back home and how her parents would probably be mad about school.

Man, I wish I could find more personal stuff like that where I live. I can't report on anything other than beer cans, a variety of plastic bottles, and a bunch of damn cardboard.

That was probably the most personal thing I ever found. I just thought the book it was written in had cool paper, but it ended up being a little window into someones life. Most things I find are furniture. Like I have a small ikea or walmart looking table with some shelves on it I found and kept. Some big cylinder lamps that are really flimsy but look cool, and then THIS!

My goodness, does it open? Do you keep more choice loot in this skeleton monument?
Also it kind of reminds me of this little tiki statue (among other things) an older sibling and I found in an abandoned house not too far from where we live.

Haha, It does open yeah. The doors have a big spine in the middle as you can see, and it twists at the top to lock it closed. We used to keep videogames in it, but for now it's empty. Maybe when I die I can put my skeleton in there.
