My love and I make animated series, we create pitches and throw them at places, hoping that they stick. And for those pitches, we create a ton of content - along with writing work, we create animated shorts, mini-pilots and a ton of character art.
I wanted to share some of it with you guys, but also wanted to ask if any of you guys do this too? Do you just throw stuff on youtube in hopes somebody will see it? Do you pitch it to places? I can't be the only one on here that is currently putting an effort into doing this stuff professionally :D I think it's hard sometimes, you get rejected so much that you start to wonder if you're getting rejected because you suck at what you do, that it's just not good. Sometimes, I think I must be an idiot because I refuse to give up on it, and I suck but I just don't notice that I suck. Y'know?
A year or two ago, there was a Canada-wide (I'm Canadian) animation competition called Startoon, and me and my love created a thing called "Phil in Space". We made it as far as the semi-finals, and a friend of mine ended up winning. So here's some shorts from that - I did the voice of Phil, co-write it, and designed the characters:
The first one we did:

The last, and probably best one:

So Phil was like our first official one.
Hold tight, I've still got one more proper one to show you :D
