There are dozens of games which have fantastic plots. For example, Half-Life 2 or Resident Evil.
I know there are games after books or films.
But are there any games you want to 'read' as books?

Morrowind, I checked it has at least one book already made. Any elder scrolls, and really you can read the lore within the game. Doom has books already too and I'd like to read those some day as well. WoW has plenty of books I'd want to read.
So yeah anything I can think of so far that I'd like to read already has books.
I think Lineage 2 Classic could become a great book. So dramatic!
A truly prophetic sig...
I highly recommend the Resident Evil books. I need to purchase them again and read them. My asshole ex took off with everything I own and I'm trying to rebuild my zombie collection.
As for a game I'd love to see a book based on? Fucking. Chrono. Trigger. I cannot stop saying this enough. Chrono Trigger is one of the best RPGs of all time. Zelda would also make for an amazing book series.
I would love a fleshed out book about the plot of Half Life 3. I know Marc Laidlaw already kinda released the ending but I wouldn't mind reading the entire story in book format.
Chrono Trigger is a pretty old game but would make a great basis for a fictional adventure book. Maybe ranging from 300-400 pages
super mario RPG would make a good manga. with all the crazy characters and wacky adventures, it would make for a fun read.

Definitely, I’d buy that for sure
You know they made a lot of the Resident Evil games into books?
I've never played it, but I think there could be some good stories stemmed from Mass Effect.
This post will actually appear at the bottom of this page.

That's a really dope idea! Lineage 2 indeed would make a cool book
Silent Hill 2 actually had a novelization. I read it and it was alright, though something may have been lost in the translation from Japanese.
Final Fantasy Tactics is basically a novel. It's called A Song of Ice and Fire. Both are based on the War of the Roses. Same goes for Spec Ops: The Line, which is really just Heart of Darkness.
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

Yeah, it's better to base manga on it... It feels like I can see it right now - bright pages (it should be colored manga), good humor and mad (I mean good mad) plot. Cool.
I would gladly read books based on Ubisoft's games like splinter cell, the division,...
So far i have only read watch dogs dark clouds and i liked it
I'd love to see the Wild Arms series become books..
There's already literature you can read in-game anyway.
The Elder Scrolls series. The lore is rich and vast and I'm sure they would be able to make at least three books from each game. I'd read them all in a heart beat.
Super Mario 64, I checked it has at least one book already made.

Cyberpunk 2077. The game isn't released yet BUT the setting and themes alone are worth a few books.

I wished RE: Caliban Cove was it's own game though. Rebecca could use more solo representation (that's not that Vendetta movie).

They actually have the first 2 Metal Gear Solid games novelized, they're pretty good read, even got my mom to read them and she loved them.
I'd love to see Final Fantasy books, novelizations or spin offs of the main series, either one sounds good
There are lots of games which are capable of become books like GTA, Resident Evil, Walkind Dead, To the Moon,Mass Effect Trilogy etc....
