Any Good Anatomy Reference Books? 2018-05-09 18:19:26

Hey I was looking online for a bit and I couldn't find anything that stood out to me, but can anyone recommend a good pose reference book. I wanna learn how a bunch of poses look so I can stylize them and not have doo doo diarrhea story time animator syndrom where i dont actually know how to make convincing fun acitons. I'm at a fairly ok level right now purely from experience but I wanna be great

I've been using an old book by Joseph Sheppard "Drawing the Living Figure". It's filled with pencil drawing of various poses for both male and female. I think it's excellent if you're looking to have reference for general poses and anatomy. I don't know if it's still around though and you'll need extra references for more specific poses but it's quite a nice book to have.

If interested, there's a nifty software called ArtPose Pro, which you could grab on Steam:

It could be quite useful for some Artists.

A snippet from the description: "ArtPose Pro is a fun and artistic app for posing the Male and female figure. Create fast and dynamic poses in minutes."

this is legitimately the best resource i think that has ever been put together. ive taken anantomy drawing classes that taught me less than this magazine issue did, i still have it on my desk somewhere. the PDF version is no less informative
