Good morning Newgrounders ^____^
I do really hope that i have searched the forums thoroughly enough to say that there wasn't a post about this thematic. As you may have recognized, the gaming industry across the whole world has grown exponentially over the past few years. If you have played a couple of different games and also some online games you may have also realized the growth of Alternative payment methods or so to say: Loot Boxes, Item Gambling, Random Package buying and so on.. (im obviously talking about ingame payment with real money)
I'm not linguistically advanced enough to make you the importance of this change in the business clear. But read about that. Also if you have kids this is even more important. They may also play games where ingame payment is a real option. Things like colorful animated lootbox systems are even more attractive to a 12 one and they may or may not get the whole concept of trading completely false or spend big amounts of money brutally senceless.
The point is if you are a intellectual human being of the 21st century and if you don't want to see a whole industry (and even one of the biggest of our time), getting exploited, poisoned and ruined by the corrupt and capitalistc ideals of few, than you should read about that thematic.
I myself live in germany, where gaming is a topic you hear very rare of in the news. The most you can hear about gaming in germany is gaming itself e.g at gamescom or with other people. I would like to talk about gaming in a more social and enlighting way for more people to get to know the theme, help gaming becoming better and even help Gaming to make the world a better place.
