Replacement is a horror game that tells the tail of a solo fisherman whos boat breaks down in the middle of no where. The island he stumbles across appears to be abandoned... however creatures lurk the forest and abandoned settlements. Find all 8 of the engine parts and tools and escape before it is too late..
Its had over 2,000 downloads and so far positive feedback, remembering that it is not due to be complete for a few months, as you read this i am uploading the latest file so if you wait 10 mins the newest version will be uploaded :D

While jump scares can be done effectively, they are not necessarily horror. Horror refers to, "painful and intense fear, dread, or dismay," - all within the list of what can be done with a jump scare. When they are thrown around willy-nilly, it becomes less of a scare, and more of a mild annoyance.

When something jumps out, it isn't the fear, dread, or dismay that gets the person to react, it is the surprise that causes this. If you were to make a game where the player has a surprise party, you would be effectively creating the same exact feeling within the player. Actually, a game where you walk through a haunted house where the lights flicker on and a ghost "Surprise Party" pops up throughout the house... FUND IT.

Abandoned hospital with multiple layers. The lights flicker on. Surprise! Lights go off. The party goers are ghosts. You find bloodied party hats and pinatas strewn about. You find out that a party was being held for a recently deceased patient. They partied so hard that everyone died.

You must collect all of the party gear, and send off the dead in the most glorious party ever!

No seriously, fund it.
