So after many years LucasArts, the gameforge that brought us classics such as Monkey Island shifts from a developing to a licensing model. Was it a wise business decision? Did any of you anticipate any announced Star Wars games that got cancelled now? Discuss.

Eh. It's not like George Lucas was helping out the franchise that much in the last 20 years. I'm saddened by this news, but I haven't lost hope that there can still be good Star Wars titles. It just sucks that so many people had to lose their jobs in a crappy economy.
I think I'll play Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis in memory of the company's glory days, though.

Most of the best Star Wars games were only published by LucasArts and developed by other companies (Jedi Academy games, KOTOR games, Battlefront games, probably much more)

I heard that Obsidian is working on a game similar to KOTOR 1 and 2.
This is a bad move on their part, not only they stopped Lucasfilm animation, but they got rid of the first successful game company that's based on the Star Wars franchise and other George Lucas work. Honestly I hope Disney backs something up for this because they're gonna piss off a lot of Star Wars fans.

It's not like LucasArts has made anything people have wanted in years. Take off the nostalgia goggles. I am disappointed that Star Wars 1313 will most likely never see the light of day, though; it looked like LucasArts might have been making a comeback with it.
