Hi, I am part of a small team developing a playing-card game for web and mobile, and I am looking for a graphic artist. Our keywords for the desired style are "classy," "slick," and "minimalist." Here are some reference images that are similar to the style we're looking for. http://www.istockphoto.com/search/lightbox/13271090#5fb0747
We've come up with the following four styling guides:
1. Dark, blue palette for background (whereas green or red as the base would make it feel like a casino)
2. A small amount of gold can make things look classy (but not too much because using a lot is more like a casino)
3. Most objects have a lot of shine and sheen as if they were made of plastic, glass, or polished metal
4. Primarily simple designs, but nothing plain
We've built the core of the game and iterated on the gameplay. The primary graphics we need are a 52-card set, a numbered ring and clock-like hand, chips/coins, tokens, backgrounds, and tutorial slides. Some of the placeholders for these items can be seen here: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/9136/13thhoursampleplacehol d.png
This is a paid offer, but on a low indie budget. We would expect you to complete the primary graphics in 1-2 months.
If you are interested, then please get in touch by emailing me here: http://scr.im/13thhr Please provide us with a few samples of any playing cards or work you have done that matches our desired style.
Thank you,
