I hope that if people get dropped out of the contest after this point, they won't get all test-y.

I sure won't. I'm a bit surprised I've gotten even as far as this, actually. :)

Why do I have a distinct feeling there will be either something about dogs or about communist comrades?
... xD

Oh well.

Anyone needs a voice actor for this NATA round =D? Just holler ;)

"Contra Mundum, Semper Et In Aeternum."

My voice acting demo - PM me if you need me:)

Speaking of voice actors, SenatorJohnDean and KaggyFilms were awesome to work with. it sounds like they're itching to take on more projects, too, if you guys are in need. Seriously, I can't emphasize their talent enough.

mh?

Anyway, liking the theme much more this time around. Didn't really know how to handle the previous one.

Thanks for the detailed explanations Hikarian and (person in charge of) NATA. That looks like a pretty interesting and convenient setup.

Ive recently come under some... forced inspiration... Theres a small chance I may fight alongside you troops this round, as I was thinking of a way to deal with this... forced inspiration... and I think animating my emotions may do the trick, luckily the theme works with what I had in mind anyway... We'll see, good luck everyone!

Forced inspiration doesn't neccisarily sound like a good thing in my ears... But I sure would love to see some new animations from you!

I'm trying to reread my copy of 'Story' by Robert Mckee but all the pages are stuck together with semen.

Kind of looking around at different ways to set up a good story. Is this one of those books that helps with that? Can it be translated into making a short?

Anyone else have some recommendations for some relevant readistuff? Concept, delivery, storyboard, setup... you know, about all those kinds of things? :)

Forced inspiration sounds like a bummer. Though, I'll be glad to see you make something new! Hope everything works out okay with whatever's got you caught.

how do i put the color mixer back in its default place over the library?
it's really getting on my nerves with it being in the scene all the time

I've managed to create my shortest storyboard yet. I'm hoping to keep this one in between 1:00 - 1:30 so that it doesn't take forever to do this time.

Whenever that happens to me, just dragging the box back to where it was fixes it. I'm using CS3 though so it might be different.

doesn't do anything for me, and "merging" the colors and library make it so i cant have both open at once, which isn't very convenient. i'm using ye olde flash pro 8.

going to Window - Workspace Layout - Default should reset it.

I have Flash Pro 8.

Is this a recent issue? Have you closed out of Flash and restarted it and such?

You could try the following:

Go to Window --> Workspace Layout --> Default

OR

On the same black bar where it says "Color Mixer", there is an icon on the opposite end where you can choose to group the color mixer with another option. Or you could choose to close out of it and open it again in the Window menu, and it may appear on its own again.

I hope one of these helps.

Hmm, it's looking like I might have to compile my entry for this round as a video file rather than an swf. I'll have to see if it's more effort to edit everything outside of Flash or to bring everything back into Flash to edit it.
