That thing is based on some Mayan Calendar which ends to year 2012 or something like that, I don't know I never bothered to find out because it's bullshit that's based on someones weird little mind.
But in the other hand you never know, still I doubt it.
Time is a man-made construct as a measuring unit for, well, time. There is no way to know that the world will end on a set date or time unless humanity made an effort to actually make it happen in whatever way.

Scientists have said it may be up to 50 years off.
Mayan descendants have said themselves that the clock is a circle and never ends.
Idiots... the world isn't ending.

Except Harold's prediction didn't rise until 2011. The 2012 prediction was going around since 2003 or before.
There was something in the news about it recently, I missed the story but my I heard about it from someone else. Apparently there wont be anything bad that happens. The end of the calendar that predicts the so called end of the world, wasn't predicting the end of the world, it was representing the start of a new era. So we can all live fancy and care free now.

Bear in mind the Mayan Calendar doesn't predict the end of the world it just predicts the end of a calender and a new method of dating. Kind of how we use BC and AD

No U.
Scary Picnic is obviously being satirical. No one could be so stupid as to actually believe the world will end in 2012.

It was funny for a little while though.

Obviously dec 21 2012 is a pretty specific and disproved time for the world to end. On that note I would think that if the world was going to end, we would have quite the notice before hand. Unless of course it's done by an atomic bomb or something man made.
