I could use it in this contest, but I could also use it for my EP. Now was I wondering: if I complete this song, could I use a shorter version of this song in this contest and then use the full one for my EP?

Generally the pairings are random, but we occasionally make some intentional pairings where we see fit - for example, a Metal artist vs another Metal artist is far more interesting than a Metal artist vs, say, an 8-bit artist.
