Nostalgia is happysad.

I found an old cartridge of Pokemon Yellow this morning while moving stuff around in my room and it instantly brought me back to the good old days as a child catching 'em all with my friends and stuff. I spent the whole morning playing through it again for the first time in years and it literally brought tears to my eyes.

I mean, I'm just 18 for fuck's sake, but I remembered how happy I was playing those simple old games as a kid who only had to worry about going to school and it broke my heart when I realized that those precious days are gone for good. Oh well, at least I did enjoy my childhood.

Anyone has felt alike?

I get sad/happy playing my old arcade PC games. I am glad that I have them in a DOS emulator to play them now.

My friends and I still play board games ever since we were 8, so I am still living in my 'childhood'.

I've bought an old PS2 of ebay to re-play all my PS1/2 games when I'm bored. Digimon World was one of the bestest games I ever played as a kid, i need to relive it as I'm sad.

I got my gameboy color out of storage and was playing some games on it, two of them included pokemon gold and yellow. I started it up and realized my save was gone, and no one else ever played my games. Needless to say, I was sad.

I don't nostalgia much really, but every time I hear some Aqua I turn into a kid and scream the lyrics to whatever song I hear each time.

Every time I play an old Spyro game I think of the times when I was a tot playing those games, how innocent I was, and how I never knew what the fuck I was doing.

I want to go back to that time.

I miss games like Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, Doom (Only I II and III, not really any of the newer ones), Heretic, Redneck rampage, Area 51, and all of the other first person shooters I loved so dearly.

Last time I checked, 12-13 count as my early teenage years, not really my childhood. I played my first Pokemon game on a GameBoy about eleven years ago, when I was 7.

And besides, it's not about the amount of time that has passed, it's about how things have changed for me since then. I used to find those games very entertaining and amazing back then. Now, modern video games don't have that magical feeling on me, probably because I'm more mature.
