Making a game/an animation?

I've seen the "Newgrounds Collection" with the tutorials (haven't seen any of the videos yet, though), in case I should get Adobe Flash, and I was wondering... Since I've installed TGF2, and I followed the tutorial with the program, (yet I have no idea how the heck you can do something OTHER than a breakout-style game,) if it was possible make a platformer, an adventure game, an RPG, or even a text-based type of game using TGF2.

If not, can I make one of those types of games, or even an animation using Adobe Flash?

I'm certain that you can make all those types of games and animations with Adobe Flash. Just look around the Flash Portal and you'll see tons of those games and animations made with Flash.

As for The Games Factory 2, I have seen some simple platformer type of games in the portal (see Clickteam's submissions for example). I'm not sure what exactly the possibilities are; I suggest that you ask in the The Games Factory 2 Forum.
