You have very cool concepts and ideas but I think you lack some of the fundamentals.
Your lightning is all over the place in most pieces, for example the werewolf where
The moon is the only notable lightsource yet there's lots of light hitting him from other
directions.
Also you should try to use more hard brushes for your rendering if you want a more realistic
result as the soft brush makes pretty much everything look like plastic.

i have been very curious about animating and having been trying to find a good program to start with

i use paint tool sai for coloring and photoshop for details i also use an intuose 4 ( LOVE IT )

alot of my inspiration derive from myths, legends, folklore, and sci-fi

I'm loving all your creatures, my advice is start trying certain colored lines, some of these black lines you put there doesn't seem to go along well with some of your creatures (others does).

Fun design, the blue scheme reminds me something of the U.N.
On the subject.. it kind of bothers me that with all that 'body armor/protection/suit' the creature is wearing what appears to be a mundane hat. Someone armed for confrontation is wearing a hat? I think it should be a helmet to protect his dome.
