The AK47 system is fine for sniping, look at the Dragonuv SVD, its just the AK47 is inaccurately made. If you said "the" instead of "an" I would agree with you.
Anyways, heres the latest technology developed by NATO, the LRHVRRSMKPS, or Long Range High Velocity Recoil Reduced Silenced Military Knife Projectile System. It has a unique recoil reduction system located behind the bi-pod for quick follow up shots and a fully silenced 30" barrel to guarantee high accuracy and the ability to take terrorists out without anyone noticing. It has a 12-54 x Thermal Vision barrel and a revolver style semi-automatic system which carries 6 + 1 knifes.
It can fire standard bayonets as well as specialized knifes, including spinning models, exploding models, incendiary models, sub-sonic models and special splitting shotgun styled models.
There is a MP5 and M16 in production to use these new knife projectiles. The switch to knifes was decided because of penetration problems. An air build-up and release is used to project the knifes to distances of over 65 yards, and is capable of 16 MOA.

Some rifles:
1- A pretty standard Sniper Rifle, used most for hunting big animals. Got a advanced scope that zooms up to 20x.
2- Light rifle for short and long distances. Easy to use. Got a knife on the hilt for close combat situations.
3- A heavy caliber all porpose sniper rifle. Only for expert marksmen.
Complex dual scope. One is set for shooting still targets, or targets on slow movement. The other is specially set to target constant moving targets.
Has a second lighter caliber rifle, attached to the side, with it's own scope and a silencer. Specially developed for shooting anestesic needles.
The second image shows the light rifle detached, so as the additional scope.
