Next Mortal Kombat?

Does anyone know when the next Mortal Kombat game will come out, if there is one being made? I have Armageddon but the PS2 is in my brother's room and doesn't let me in there. I thought it was a bit wierd how Armageddon had all characters from the MK universe, then I remember seeing something somewhere about it being the last MK game ever, but with the release of MK Vs. DC, I'm starting have doubts about the end.

Considering how Midway has pretty much tanked, I don't think we'll see much more Mortal Kombat or any of their old franchises.

mk vs. dc had noting to do with the origional storyline of Armageddon.
i could see where they would go somewhere like mk vs. marvel witch would b epic.
mk vs. nentendo = fail.
something along those lines.
