nice, but...

I'm gonna be honest: I only recognized the Veldt theme in some certain moments, and I truly didn't like the beginning. I also think that you made it way too... techno, and Veldt can be everything, but techno. =P That continent is something like a forgotten land, completely rustic (no wonder the original name of the song is Wild West), and techno reminds me too much of the future and modern stuff. I believe this remix could be modern, but without losing its kind of rustic feeling.
Nonetheless, it's a nice remix.

I do hope you see my comment as constructive criticism, because I do like your work. :) Keep up with it!

Imn responds:

It's interesting to see you say that techno reminds you too much of the future and modern stuff, when I think of something completely different. Allow me to use the term electronica. Electronica (most of what I personally listen to) sounds like a "reboot" of classical music. Yeah, there's really no piano in many cases, but the feeling I get while listening to electronica is the same feeling I get when listening to some classical music. Maybe the term you really wanted to use was abstract... not futuristic, or modern.

In any case, I think I did really well trying to remix Wild West while preserving the spirit. This is particularly an industrial track -- it's meant to feel eroded, rusty, untamed... whatever you want to call it. But, I guess that is not what you heard.

The Veldt great tune

The Veldt is a awesome tune

Imn responds:

I'm glad you think it's awesome. =)

Great remix

I can't really see anything wrong with this.

-Good work keep it up.

Imn responds:

Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated.

Respect!

I totatly loved this song back in the day. You just made me love another way now. I think the misstakes are so small that no one notices, basicaly, Exellent job. Hope you keep submitting more!

Imn responds:

I'm glad you like my remix.

I am working on a remix for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Eventually, I'll have a remix for each Final Fantasy, but what I have in the works right now are "You Can Hear the Cry of the Planet" from Final Fantasy VII and "Man With a Machine Gun" from Final Fantasy VIII, although the latter is somewhat pending. Stay tuned for some good stuff. =)

Wow!

I love what you did here. You really took this piece to a whole new level. This was one of favorite FFVI pieces, and I just love this rendition.

"I have found that I don't get nearly as many reviews I would like to get. How am I supposed to become better when I don't get the feedback I require?"
Too true. There's nothing worse than getting a low score, but no reviews. People need to learn how to review and give feedback.

-Oh, and I didn't notice any screw-ups on this song. I guess I just don't have critical enough ears.

Imn responds:

Low score and no reviews! ARGH! How am I supposed to fix my problems if you can't even speak to me!?

Anyway, there is one screw-up at 3:03-3:04, where the melody hits a few extra notes more than what it was supposed to (the same notes that occur at 2:56). This is when it's compared to the original song. And for some reason I cannot find the second screw-up... but yeah. They are there.

I am very glad that you enjoy the song; "Wild West" is truly one of my favorites from Final Fantasy VI as well. I actually put a few different sounds together with no planning, added the notes from Wild West, and immediately thought the outcome would be something to be enjoyed very much. This, of course, is the outcome. =P

Thank you for the review (more like a big compliment). I'd love to have you listen to more of my songs as you have done so with "Chasing Blue Stars (Rough);" it's nice to know that my works are enjoyable.
