To cope with the challenges of a world governed by fear of a virus, I wrote this song to serve as a beacon of hope for both myself and anyone who cares to be inspired. I even had a bunch of friends contribute for a music video in the appropriate theme 'living room fitness' - check out my YouTube channel for that.

• Synth and electronic drums and bass were programmed in Renoise
• Live drums were sampled from previous things I played and recorded
• All other instruments and vocals were recorded specifically for this song using ProTools

No other musicians were harmed in the process. Enjoy and please share your thoughts.

A little further background: this is the first solo work in which I integrated Renoise and ProTools. I don't consider myself a particularly gifted musician or singer and I still spot a lot of mistakes in the final product. It took me over half a year to finish and release, when it could have been easily done within 2 months tops, simply because I kept being dissatisfied with the lyrics, the recording quality, etc. Big moment for me here was to say 'screw it, this is getting released regardless' - which, judging by forum posts over here is something more people have difficulty with. For those of you: do it! You have little to lose and so, so much to gain. It took me a long, long time to realize this. To quote one of the most inspiring lyricists I ever ran into:

Routine day with a dirt cheap brush

Then a week goes by and it goes untouched

Then two, then three, then a month

Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up

So yeah, here I am, having rediscovered Newgrounds as a platform and planning to get as much out of it as humanly possible. I encourage all of you to do the same, even when times are strange. Especially when times are strange.
