The painted blade was the focal point of this arc. It acted as a bit of a red herring for the real problem. The painted blade referenced a painted butterfly. This sword was waiting patiently for a demon to finish it's metamorphosis so that it could claim the sword and rule over the corporeal world. So, the sword itself was not dangerous. It was just something that needed to be kept from the Demon King that was finishing its transformation.

I was really happy with this song as well. Wanted something that conveyed a mystic and magic feeling. The heroes entered a large room with just a sword in the center. I was hoping this song helped make the scene seem like a sacred place.

If I were to redo thing song I absolutely would not use MIDI sounds for the choiry backing. I would definitely record song vocals irl.
