Lyrics:

Where’ve you been

My so-called friend

I’ve been dying

To hear a lie

Don’t say

Everything’s okay

Cause I’ve seen you

With the lady in white

You’ve gone away

To skies gone gray

Where the shadows

Stretch wide

To restrain

The priestess of pain

That’ll haunt you

Til the end of time

No, I ain’t like you

But I adorn myself with blue

She’ll lay you out to rest

Against her snow white breast

I heard your voice

Saying “There ain’t a choice”

Here I am

Trying to save

Some kid

Who ran to hit the skids

And became

An elixir’s slave

Pledge your time

To a useless climb

Squanderin’

All you could be

I’ll see ya when

You show yourself again

Cause there’s none of you

That stayed with me

No, I ain’t like you

I didn’t tear the town in two

She put thoughts inside your head

The kind that want you dead

Nice playing on this track and like the subtle instrument accompaniments. Wish there was a little more dynamism in the mix, but that's just my taste.

ConnorDeVaux responds:

I agree, I wish I did more with it. I was and still am in the middle of a move though so I kinda just thought it was good enough and put it up :/

Thanks a lot for the review though.

another amazing song. love what you do

ConnorDeVaux responds:

Ah, thanks a lot mane

Beautiful song, Connor.
I really like the melodica in your song and your voice is smooth.

ConnorDeVaux responds:

I'm surprised you even heard it ha ha. Thanks a lot :)
