Great episode, nice to hear from some genuine NG vets and what they have been up to lately.
I was thinking about the topic that was brought up near the end of the discussion, if Flash or it's modern day counterparts have any place in the modern gaming market. With the two most popular video games for kids being Minecraft and Roblox, I don't think there is any reason why it couldn't happen. The massive and enduring success of those two franchises, not to mention others like them, proves to me that a clever and well fleshed out idea beats sophisticated technology and big budgets any time. What really seems to last is when you hand people the tools to be creative within the confines of your world. If you can design according to that philosophy, you can make lightning in a bottle.
That's just my opinion anyway.
