A follow up to last year's piece; will be remade at the end of every school year.

Start of a New Era was always meant to show how I and many others have grown over the course of the school year. This year, however, this has a different and stronger meaning to me, as the Class of 2020 is really something special that can't be repeated by many other classes in the future. So, with this piece, I commemorate the passing and growth of a school year, as usual, and the shining achievements that the class of 2020 has managed to accomplish.

I'm very fortunate to have the songs I have as the bookends of this school year, being The Music Box and The Lost Toybox. These pieces are both mallet-heavy pieces, which I have found tell better stories with more emotion, as the portion of the Class of 2020 that I know deserves. The Music Box and The Lost Toybox when combined produce this story of a new beginning or a new chapter in life that starts at this instant. However, just as someone opens a new chapter of their lives, another one closes right behind them. I wish the Class of 2020 well, as I know they will be some of the most successful people of the next few classes.

It is so beautiful, the melodies that come and go are amazing.
But as for the EQ, I feel like you should turn it down to the high frequencies.

Super glad you enjoyed! I will note that and keep it in mind for the future :)
