Coyote Party
Once upon a time I stole girlfriend's laptop and blatantly took the rights to install FL Studio on it. I had some sort of craving to do summery house hits and that's when I started Coyote Party. I hit some random notes and chords with Keyzone's piano (it's a free plugin btw!!), hit some cool chords and went like shit, this sounds like an anthem and I have to finish this. I really wanted to play with the two drops, trying to focus on the drive and diversity while making it as long as possible. Main inspiration for this was Bakermat's Baiana and you can definitely tell the similarities.
Interesting fact: using laptop for this project almost drove me crazy. The project constantly kept crashing and lagging like hell, making previewing almost impossible. I don't really wanna say it was a piece of shit laptop because my gf is probably reading this but it really was a piece of shit laptop.
Why the name? The vocals this song (which I ripped off from an absurd acapella on YouTube) keep saying "Lykote" and I thought I'd name this "Lykote Coyote". I thought it was funky, but not memorable enough, so I changed the name to Coyote Party. Imagine bunch of coyotes dancing to this, it becomes funny after a while.
