Alice in Wonderland is still one of the most beautiful Extra Stage themes in Touhou. There are many that I consider to be much better than this song, but there's something about the old style of Touhou that pleases my ear. It isn't extremely active and busy like later Touhou songs, but it remains melodic and enchanting enough. It is a rather simple song and in my opinion, that's a large part of its appeal. It's highly memorable and is the culmination of the Touhou PC-98 era and for that it will forever be beloved by myself and fans of the series. I hoped to enhance that enchanting feeling by making it sound soft and wondrous, my personal favorite style when it comes to covering the PC-98 songs. I feel my style fits that era remarkably well, which is why I can't stop myself from going back to it.

When I first started listening to the touhou soundtracks I never included any of the retro songs in my playlists because I found them boring (also they were super quiet and I was tired of turning the volume up only to get hit with necrofantasia immediately afterwards and grab everyone in the room's attention). Eventually I decided to create a favorites playlist by putting all 1,000 of my songs in my playlist and removing ones that I didn't like when they played. Every time a retro song came on I was thoroughly impressed by the fact that every single one of them is amazing. I haven't removed a single one from my playlist. I think that they're some of ZUN's finest work, and Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorites.

Also its funny, touhou stuff is kinda rare here, only a handful of people consistently produce touhou stuff, and you happened to post your's right after another

I happen to be a Touhou 1-trick pony on Newgrounds lmao, so most of my content is Touhou remixes and covers! I find my soft, trance-like style to fit the Classic Era of Touhou really well and I'm glad to hear that other people enjoy the PC-98 era as much as I do. Despite these songs being some of ZUN's first works, I think they're some of his greatest. They aren't overly "showy" like a lot of the songs from the most recent Touhou games, if that makes sense.
