I wrote this song during a breakup. Cliche, I know. However, I felt I needed to reflect what was going on inside my head on some sort of musical canvas. I started with some emotional-made piano pieces that I felt demonstrated everything that was beautiful about that relationship. The sparse collection of sounds that fill up the middle sections of the track represent my head trying to make sense of the situation, "Why does it have to be like this?".

There's a sort of, 'euophoric' build-up that quickly dissipates, that I felt was a metaphor for me finally finding someone who good for me, and completely non-toxic, but to quickly have it swept away.

As the track ends, I follow up with another piano composition, to reflect that I'll always be thankful for that time, and that I was happy to grow as a person and move on.
