I used FM, Squarewave, Spectrum, and Midi-based (anything you'd find on Sonar/Cakewalk software) sound fonts with this. Originally the whole project was to be in FM, but screw it! This is a three part piece, with the first two parts being revamps of what I initial uploaded as "Chapters," I gotta admit the biggest trouble had to do with mixing in the percussion and as a result I tried to tone down the reverb or switch to a less overpowering chiptune where needed.
