Prepare yourself!
For it is a small setlist of dissonant listening with samples handmade. This is a test set list for what's to come.
It is meant to represent the form of music during the DOS, SNES, Commodore, Playstation 1 and Gameboy Color era.
It is not meant to sound well, nor constructed. But a representation of the hurriedness of today's and yesterday's gaming platform of music when it came to constructing tracks and discography for a game. Remember, it is best to take your time and enjoy yourself. Don't rush what you love, play your heart out, friends. Do not make music for fame, glory or under time constraints. It will bring you misery and this will be your product.
Anything you listen to after listening to the full 20 minutes will feel refreshing, I promise. The ear looks for recognizable patterns, if you let yourself listen to the full track, you'll find that the dissonance actually invokes slight phobia, anxiety, confusion; even if subconscious. The next track you listen to will sound more comforting, organized, comprehensible and welcoming.
There were several games I had played as a child where the music just felt incomprehensible, mysterious, unwell if not ill. Wrong. That is the feeling I'm trying to put into this set list as it sounds as it felt to me when I was younger.
