HECK YEAH Mega Man X music! Although I must admit that Launch Octopus is one of the Maverick stage themes that I am not that familiar with. My favourite part of the original is definitely the orchestral hits. While your remastering of this seems to make those hits a lot less subdued, you make up for it with really good bass. I LOVE how pronounced it gets at the beginning. I do agree that the guitar, especially towards the end gets too loud, but it sounds pretty accurate to the original piece besides that, instrument-wise.

I'm completely biased, but I'm very happy to hear a Mega Man related piece entered into this compo. :D

Drums definitely need to come up in this mix. Lead writing is catchy, but as mentioned, feels very sloppy. Way too much portamento and detune. Also recommend panning bass 0% LR.

Otherwise, this is a fairly catchy piece. Drums are really groovin', I just can't hear 'em over your screaming leads, strings, and bass, leaving this piece sounding floppy. It sounds like there may be some compression issues going on as well.

Shame, because this piece loops really well and has great drive!

The audio here just sounds sloppy for some reason. It's fast and slightly muddy and sounds very rough around the edges. Which is a shame, because I happened to like the melody, especially the groovy bass.
