This song was written by me with Noteworthy Composer and Ableton Live 10 in 2018 as a part of my RPG soundtrack. The game isn't real as of yet, but maybe someday I'll make it and use this song. I won't sugar coat it, this song is nearly a ripoff of a song featured in the game "Blue Dragon." I didn't even realize how similar it was to that song until I was almost finished. Oh well, I think it still stands as its own thing, if very similar. It's like "Antz" and "A Bug's Life." Both similar, but both their own thing. This song sounds a lot like a Sega Genesis chiptune.
The Sega's music has a distinctive harshness to it when compared to video game music from other machines.
It has a real robotic quality to the whole song itself.
I love the variety of video game musical instruments.
I'm reminded of final fantasy 7 music.
You been very busy creating music.
Music is your strongest skill set.
I hadn't noticed the similarities to Sega Genesis music, but I definitely hear it; the buzzy-sounding bass, the lo-fi drum samples, and the overall harshness like you mentioned.
Robotic is certainly what I was going for. And it's meant to sound like a track from Final Fantasy VII. It even uses instruments straight from that game.
