I like the bright synths and upbeat vibe of the piece. The chord progression is a little cliche, and I think you overdid the panning on the synth at :31. That said, I enjoyed the build-up into :41 and the melodic content at :42. A big complaint I have is that the mix is too loud. Clear, yes, but the panning sounded harsh in my ears after a while, and there’s blatant clipping for much of the first minute. Overall, it’s a really well-structured and smooth-flowing piece. I also really appreciate the variations on the melody during the final refrain. The transition at 1:57 was the only abrupt one. My other main complaint is that the piece is pretty generic, mostly because of the chord progression and arrangement. Still, I’d say the main fix should be the volume levels. I’d highly recommend that you do some research on clipping (basically, stereo distortion that results from shoving a loud signal through a small threshold) and monitor the peak flow meter in your DAW more carefully. PM me if you have more questions. Overall solid work, though! You clearly have a good sense of harmony, and the blissful mood of the piece is quite contagious. :) Keep at it, Alphysans!
