To battle! With 5 stars shining!
There's a bit of story behind this one... but I'll start by saying that I've been making music for 11 years now, and it's been an incredible journey.
Back in 2010, I worked on a game project with some other talented individuals. It was one of the first games in which my music took the spotlight, really upping the energy in the game, and putting it into a fond place in my memory.
Flash forward a couple years, and a new project was in the works, a sequel to that first game, designed to be in all ways a true successor. Voice acting, upgraded graphics, new and engaging mechanics, level progression, online multiplayer, and an entirely soundtrack of original music from me. It was a truly ambitious project, and when we realized the scope of what we had taken on, it both daunted and exhilarated us.
And we soon realized that, for a game that would reach the scope that we truly wanted, we had no choice but to put it on the back burner, where it currently awaits a time when it can be resurrected as the marvelous undertaking we all hoped it would be on Day 1.
This track, "Chaos Incarnate", was the one I composed for the battle against the game's true villain, in a desperate and overwhelming clash that would decide the future of the planet. This is an updated and revitalized version of that original track, which uses many of my latest synths and styles, but sticks to the percussion aspects of the original, as a stylistic element present in the rest of the original soundtrack that I didn't want to change.
To battle! With 5 stars shining!
Unreal!! I wish this was in one of the later stages of "Top Gear 2" for SNES. That sounds like where it belongs in my head....
Wow! That backstory was amazing.
Epic tune. Amazing energy!
Glad you enjoyed it!
