fusion of IDM, DnB, glitch, breakbeat, triphop and industrial. like i mentioned, coming back with a big bang. always try to strive for different perspective.

i want to create super long looped track without compromising its quality, yet still free for all uses. i want to prove a point. and this isn't the only track.

with the exception of some instruments. all the synths were made in Zebra, Serum and Harmor.

this feels like disruption in a crystal's matter by intense light from a living intentional source !

Mm, the epic journey. I love me an epic journey piece. On to specifics...

Mixing, mastering and production: I really don't have too much bad to say here. Great EQing, panning, and volume balancing. Your subtle use of effects really shines in Catalyst - just the right amount of reverb on each instrument. I only would have given higher scores if I was absolutely blown away and pleasantly surprised by bits of production here and there. That's trickier to do in a long piece like this.
I suppose if I had to say one really nitpicky thing, I could have used some more hutzpah from the drums, especially the kick. The way you've mixed and mastered them right now is great in the way that they don't wear on the ears during such a long piece. But they don't stand out much in the bigger sections.

Composition: Super ambitious, and for the most part you pull it off.
The main areas I docked points in were structure and melody. Here I was looking for something to hold on to, to remember, to be catchy, or for some obvious repetition. Ultimately I didn't feel like there was a lot of melody going on. When there's a melody to focus on, what's really happening is it's an aspect of enhancing chords or atmosphere - arpeggiating chords for the most part. There was never a point where a true, strong melody came in (at least for me). And because of that lack of melody, it was somewhat difficult to track the progression of the song. Every section is done excellently, but there's a lot of sections and some of them are different only in subtle ways.

Hope all this helps, and really looking forward to what you come up with for the Knockout Round!

As much as I like your music, I don't quite get a thing about making such a long loop. The music itself is cool though.

Thanks :)

Wow! Imo you've outdone yourself this time! I'm literally speechless, your songs always have charming and depressing impact at a time on me but this one got to me especially deep. Every change of the melody has unique influence on me and I'm really getting in the mood. Thank you for your art, once again!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review!

I hope to turn music composition into a healthy hobby, at least for my own purpose, and not for profession or competition. Music production is about problem solving, creativity, experimental, learning new things, but at the same time helping you to relief of stress. It's also productive in a very healthy way. Music composition is all about self exploration and self improvement.

I love exploring the possibilities that I could produce with just a laptop and some software. I love sharing them to the world. I read both criticism and compliment from friends both online and offline. I love meeting people. I love sharing our feelings and similarities through music. It's mutually and socially benefiting everyone in a way.

The reason I entered NGAUC because I need the money prize for RealFaction's friend. They are in bad situation and their fund raising haven't reached the target. I'm not a competitive person. I do hope other win over me though.

Thank you again for your review! Take care and have a great week! :)

this is awesome!
