So here's my second Pikmin arrangement, a medley of the final boss theme and it's "variations". First things first, STRINGS! Geez, the strings in this one were a bitch. I wanted the percussion to be dimmed with this arrangement and let the powerful strings take over. The whole cinematic style of this theme was a bit different for me, but I think it was a worthwhile challenge.

Speaking of cinematic-ness, I originally was doing this medley to accompany a Pikmin animation. Yes, I've been interested in animation lately. I even did some REALLY terrible "storyboards" in Flipnote 3D and sort of got the feel for the medley through that. Lots of the pauses and segues were created to score those storyboards. Maybe some day I will finish that animation...Just maybe.

I went through a lot of different titles for this piece, but I eventually settled on the current one because it sounds a lot like the name of a track that would be in a John Williams score or something, with the "double title". Heh. Some of my personal favorite scrapped names included "Louie's OTHER Dark Secret" (the OTHER dark secret being that he controlled the Titan Dweevil) and "Saving Private Louie" (definitely not a parody or anything).
