Ever since the cave in, you've been stuck in complete darkness. There isn't a single ray of light down here, miles under the earth's surface, else your eyes would have adjusted by now. You guess it's been two days, but there's no real way to know. An eternity spent stumbling around in the darkness, that's what it feels like. And there's something odd happening as you move about in hopes of finding anything or anyone to aid you. Space seems to distort, based on the echoes you hear. One minute, your footsteps travel throughout an inconceivably large space. The next, they're right beside you.
You notice the change almost immediately. It's a sensation you haven't felt in a long time: Sight. You find yourself bathed in an ethereal blue light. You can't discern where it's coming from, as it seems to be everywhere. Realization dawns: The walls themselves seem to be glowing.
