That's a great place to learn the basics! You'd be surprised what you can do with GarageBand, watch some tutorials. Reaper is also free I believe, which is a more advanced program.
Solar Eclipse got officially rated demon this week.
I really like this song and the build-up is crazy good. The only thing I wish it has was a definite drop and more power in a few places. Otherwise, it's very nice.
