Sometimes I just want to be more human.

Edit: Changed volume of a few instruments.

You seem pretty human to me. Actually, I suppose I'm in no position to judge. I only know you for your music. XD

Speaking of your music, I'll share my thoughts. The beginning gives off the melancholic vibe of longing for something. Your composition has a clear contrast later on with the cheerful upbeat. I find this contrast appealing since they help distinguish one another. It's sort of like comparing our tiny earth to the emphasize the magnitude of larger planets. The drums could use some variety, but it's not a big issue since the the other instruments take most of the attention. All in all, It's pretty good.

It's a shame you rarely upload. I really like your work m8!

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks mate!

Really appreciate the review, especially the detailed description of your thoughts. I was definitely going for that bitter-sweet vibe! You've given me inspiration to keep making songs :)

Thanks again!

The beginning was really moving.

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks for the review!

Going to give you proper reviews from now but lazy to type it in a paragraph so
+Intro - good mood and fitting timbres used
+Chorus
+Contrasts between sections instrumentally and dynamics wise
+The high, rapidly arpeggiated? sound
+Intro again
*Chordal instrument which enters 0:37 and 2:13 a bit loud, almost drowns out melody in 2nd chorus
*Drums could be more varied between sections
*Choruses could be more varied?
*Lead instrument in non-chorus sections seems a bit bland timbre wise and could have less harsh attack; it's less noticeable in the verse but becomes more apparent in pre chorus and especially in bridge
*Ending was very abrupt for me, almost as if unfinished/almost worked when looped back to the start (because i was listening on loop for a while)

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks for the review, I'll definitely take everything on board!

This sounds like it should be in an ending FMV/cutscene for a really sad pixel game. Really cheery but seems a little restrained somehow. Maybe I'm just imagining an undertone of bitter sadness in the first half but if I'm to be honest I like it better that way.

The only point I feel comfortable taking off is the drums. Way too simple, man. Throw in some curveball rhythms and a little more oomph, that's really all this needs.

ShinsukeIto responds:

That type of feeling was what I was going for actually, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Now that you mention it, it's true, the drums were pretty basic.

Thanks for the review as always, Kwing!
