Done using Ableton live and FL studio. A friend handed the first draft to me as a FL proyect, I sampled it and worked with it on Ableton (just because I felt more comfy with that at the time) and then went back to FL to finish it.

The first part is the 3x oscillator from FL with some flanger effect and automations, the beats were done with parts from the FL drum pack and the main melody is also the 3x osc with flanger effects. Some little audio bits of me playing guitar were used, one of them altered with the TAL Bitcrusher. There's a Harmless vst used before the 'atmospheric' part for the free fall kinda sound. For said atmospheric part there's a slowed down audio of some dumbbells I recorded (pretty glad with how it sounds so much like a percussive instrument), an audio of me doing a dumb vocal thing altered with FL vocodex, some notes done with the Harmless vst, and a sample from a Alan Watts recording also run through the Vocodex. For the rest of the song, I used the Minimogue VA vst for the melody, the 3x oscillator and sliced beats my friend gave me done with the FL Slicex (where they come from, I may never know).

Hope you enjoy it!! Would love criticism!

This piece seems almost as though you had two clear, distinct styles that you tried to interject together. I heard elements of electronic atonality similar to what you might find in a piece by Stockhausen and sharply contrasting, almost "pop" sounding melodic sections. Unfortunately, while these two things may work on their own, I do not think that this piece managed to convince me that they work well together. I really liked the dark, atonal sections, but when the strong rhythmic pulse came in at about 1:05 and later when you introduced melodies, I felt that the piece slightly lost its impact. I would suggest rewriting this work into two separate pieces as both of those moods work well on their own but act give harshly contrasting connotations when put together in such a way as this piece presents.

hey rluebbert, thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. Maybe I could make two complete songs out of this one, will give it a try! also, I need to check out stockhausen.
