So this song is some sort of cinematic drum and bass, probably. I can't really remember ever hearing any songs like this one so I don't know if that's a proper genre.
Anyway, it feels like I spent a lot more time here than on any other of my songs so far as I could always find something that could be slightly better. It took especially long to get that synth go well with those strings without them sounding to be from two completely different songs but I think I did a rather good job there in the end. I also personally think this song is my best one so far and really has no big flaws.

I agree about the mixing of the drums but it still has a really cool feel to it. Maybe a little less release time on the strings but they sound awesome. Really digging it!

But yea, I wasn't really going for realism with the strings but the release time sure is long.

What's up. For simplicity's sake, lets just call it DnB. :P

- Okay, the strings has way too much tail on it (it feels like every note is being dragged). Get that sorted.
- The drums is really weak (volume wise and sound quality wise). Try layering several kicks/snares to make it...uh, less weak and give it some increase in volume.
- Interesting string melody. Could try having a little bit of variation.

TL;DR
The strings evoke a strange feeling (I'd describe it if I didn't have a shit vocabulary), but the sound quality of the strings wrecks that. Lower the volume of the strings, and increase the volume of the other elements (like the kick and snare, particularly).

I guess you have some fair points there. I do agree that the drums are quite weak, especially the kick but those should be better in my upcoming songs.
