Well, im uncertian how to vote since this is not your work. If all you're doing is mastering or reEQing then im not sure that's allowed if you didnt really modify the song/had authors permission to repost. Regardless if you were re/eqing and mastering your mastering was off kilter slightly. Your high end hertz are rather dull, mid is too high 8-12k needs a boost mid lower those 3kish hertz a few dbs. the basses are over lapping freqs in those pesky 100-300 ranges. Also a large amount of distortion was fuzzing up the mix. ( although i realize the style is distorted some) it needed to be cleaned up with a denoiser prog or vst of some sorts.

Some of you may know that on a rare ocasion, I pick up an old track from a great Newgrounds artist and I'll try to boost the audio quality. I used to do that throught the years mainly for my own amusement, because these tracks that I chose were usualy absolutely awesome, yet they were too silent, or were held back by the technical difficulties, budged and etc.
Like I mentioned, I used to enhance these tracks mainly for myself, but then I figured that I shouldn't be so selfish and I always believed that there will be someone out there who will greatly appreciate (typo) what I did.
Overkill was submited by Helix in 2004 and it has appeared in many great games. :D
and the edited version is nothing more but the edited mp3 of the original that you can download from his library here on newgrounds.
I hope that this doesn't offend anyone and especialy the original creator, because this track is supposed to promote Helix and everything he has done for newgrounds.

Listen, when you are equalizing a locked mp3 format you must be extremely carefull with how you tamper with the frequencies, because you are practicaly mastering a converted pack of various sound levels. There's absolutely no free manevuerability so when I equalize the thing, I am always draging something out of it's proper frequency in order to better the other and to achieve a certain balance. I cannot follow your advice here, because this is an mp3 equalizing we are talking about.
