Oh my this really paints a picture of an empire in ruin, the slow doleful tune combined with an echoing melodic background create exactly what I think you're going for here.
Sure it's repetitive, but it's a loop and sounds like it's from a 1996 video game. I think you've done a marvelous job creating a scene using nothing but music.

It's funny how you can go about month without submitting a single song and then submit 2 songs in less than 24 hours that was created in that same 24 hours. I'm on a roll... I think. Haha!

I really didn't have a set direction on this song, but when it was complete, it gave me the feeling of a ruined or barren area (hence the name).
