Ahh, back to my own field after Mac13, feels good too.
Made with cubase 6 elements.

I had this idea in the middle of the night about an arena setting where young tribesmen are doing their initiation ritual. I wanted to make it a happy song rather than one with pressure as theme (been making those lately too much).

I think I did well, how do you think? :)

This is great. Would it be okay to use this? I'm pitching an animated series and would love to use this as the official theme tune. We can talk about it more if you want?

Liam!

Responded to your PM, but it would be rude to not thank you for the score, so thank you! :P

I really like it, I definitely feel "pressure" like another reviewer, but it's calm and easygoing enough to be used in a strategy-oriented game. Not quite "boss battle" but more like "midboss", which is a really good thing.

NikeTheSword responds:

I hear you! At least I nailed the easygoing-part then :D
Thanks for the wonderful score!

catchy tune, its totally donkey kongish xD

NikeTheSword responds:

Hah thank you! :D Glad that someone else actually hears a jungle-ish theme in it, I've been getting alot of comments that it sounds like a pirate theme.

Thanks for the stars and sorry it took me this long to respond!

Oh, I like your intro! :) Loops perfectly, too. I think your drums and bass go perfectly together. I love at 0:40-0:43 where you hold the strings for a bit. Bringing the bass back in there just afterwards with that low string hum sounded really great. 1:25 is also another great part, where your sounds just mesh very nicely.
As for the mood, I think this did sound more pressure than happy. Not necessarily bad pressure...but pressure nonetheless. The combination of repetitive, fast-moving bass along with the onset of the string melody at 0:25 is probably responsible for that.
Overall, I think you did do well! As long as it fits the setting you're aiming for, then I think that's what counts the most. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you like it and that you found so much of those little tricks working as I meant them to. I agree with you that it is a pressuring track all around. It's a bit of a personal problem in my composing :D

Thanks again for the high score and helpful review!
