Nice melody, heh. It puts me in my child hood for some reason. Reminds me of Bomberman Hero from N64. That game set an example for future generations of DnB and techno since the game came out in like 1996 and it was nice DnB and Techno for that matter.
Enough rambling. On a more related note, this song is very nice and the melody is eerily pleasant. Those drums rock too :)

I loved that bomberman game. The music was memorable and great... though id have to play it again to hear any sort of resemblance to this. Im a big fan of early drum n bass and I guess it might show in the simplicity of this one. Im glad you enjoy it. Many thanks for the review.
Good rhythmn
The drums rhtyhmn is very good, it has a diverse jungle feel and doesnt lose the feel for the beat.
The other sound (sounds like it was sampled from GranTourismo) needs work. For starters there are some clashing tones in the chord that do not sound good. There is too much delay on the synth and drowns a lot of the melody out. The EQing on the synth is not clear with lots of muddyness to it. Also the attack needs to be alot quicker for the synth to properly keep up with your drums.
Overall the tune needs some bassline to fill up the bottom end, because at the moment it sounds very empty with just one instrument and drums. Also lacks dynamics.

Wow... what a critique... I appriciate the ideas and see what youre getting at. Im actually suprised at the rating this track has earned... its one of my newest but is only the product of a couple days work. A big problem with a lot of people has been the synth... its a sample I took from weekend world by EZ Rollers... it is rather hard to EQ samples of this quality though I like how it turned out. Ill mess with it some... ive been hearing a lot about adding bass, other samples, and various traditional Dnb type things. A track this simple, this short, and of this genre, doesnt leave much room for dramatic effects, complexities, or dynamics in my opinion though. Many thanks for your points... I always like critical review.

Not a fan of the synth line, some of the chords seem to clash with each other imo, perhaps because of too much bass on whats inherently a treble type sound?

Im glad you like it... though im suprised at your reaction regarding the lack of real bass... I might have been a bit hasty in calling it drum n bass but its not that far off... though breakbeat is a better way to describe it... and the chords might seem to clash since the sample I came up with isnt as clean as a traditional sample pack wav. Thanks for the thoughts... I use Fruityloops 6 ProXXL.

I like this one alot, try adding an Amen in it!
4/5 Try adding a sub bass too, to give it a more downtempo-ish feel!
