really liked the opening but the middle (around 1:40 to 2:49) seemed a little weird

This one came out quite well in my opinion. It sounds more traditional trance-like. This is when I was still figuring out new possibilities with plugins.
All done in FL Studio 10. Plugins used where mainly sytrus, and toxic biohazard. Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback, yeah that part is a bit odd, I was experimenting there, now that its there, taking it out would kill the feel of the song for me cuz I got used to it ; )
