Feat. DiGi Valentine. Hip-Hop Vocal mix of Tidal Tempest (Sonic CD JAP/EU) & Star Light Zone (Sonic 1).

My entry for the first round of The Sonic Zone Remix Competition over at OCR. I had to incorporate Tidal Tempest from Sonic CD (JAP/EU version) and Starlight Zone from Sonic The Hedgehog into one Remix (in one week!!!), so I used the main Tidal Tempest track as a basis for the mix, and blended in Star Light Zone mostly into the hooks. Had a great beat going, and realised some rhymes would really go well with the track, so I recruited my good friend DiGi Valentine to write and record the rap vocals. It turned out to be the best decision for the mix... he KILLED it! I wrote and recorded the lyrics for the chorus and incidental vocals, and yeah, the rest is history. I've never done anything like this track before, so I'm absolutely stoked with how it turned out. As is, it's pretty much finished. I've got a few small additions planned for the track when I sub this to OCR, but yeah, it's finished for now.
