checked several songs of yours now,
and there's something that really attracts my attention;
i hear you dont have any form of a low bass or sub bass or in between other then a mid-bass.
how come? a good bass is the most important element of a track..

BuggMusic responds:

it's nice that someone is interested in my music, so thanks for that! as for the bass, well, to be honest I suck at bass (making basslines and the actual synth patch itself). I usually try and bluff my way through the bass section by using, as you said, a mid-bass. I'll take a look at this in my future projects, thanks for the suggestion!

Pretty much what all the other reviews say. It did get kinda repetitive after 2mins or so, but I still totally fuckin LOVED IT!

BuggMusic responds:

hey thanks heaps :D

I like how this seems to be really neat as a song, sounds a bit repetitive but still nice nonetheless.

The synth has a slight echo delay effect that I can hear which is really swell. Then the drums have some nice sounds going and give a feel of going off to a party or simply walking and being able to enjoy the day which is just great. The bass is light in the back and pushes the main synths forward to make the beat so much more powerful.

The up and down wavy effect I hear in this song gives a nice calming atmosphere too.

Overall, this song is just really nice to listen to.

BuggMusic responds:

Haha, I enjoy all of your imaginative analogies for songs. Sorry about repetitiveness, will watch out for that next time. Thanks for the review!

A little repetitive, but good.

I like the way that this sounds, as the beat is powerful, but not overpowering and the melody doesn't have to struggle to get past it. The tune gets repetitive, as both major components seem to have their merits, but looping them as they have been just doesn't get me going. From the way that the variation works its way in there, you can hear something different, but these pieces need to be developed, to exploit their potential a bit more - make the verses a little longer and the chorus just a little shorter.

The length of the track is good and the mix sounds polished, so I think that playing with the balance would be the best thing, as opposed to mastering.

BuggMusic responds:

Again, sorry for the repetitiveness. I do definitely try my best with the mix and mastering as well. Because of my limited working environment (one laptop, 5.1 logitech speakers and headphones), my mix usually ends up sounding pretty good on my system, but other people find it a bit off. I do apologize for this, I really wish I had some good studio monitors, but it's just something I can't afford right now. Anyway, thanks for the review!

Very nice! I like what you're doing a lot. All I can suggest is maybe vary the lead synth (different patch at some point or change up the melody/rhythm) and maybe a low pass filter before one of the drops, as the high frequencies are a bit oppressive. Other than that, great work! I love your production, its dirty but still pro, fills up the soundscape nicely.

BuggMusic responds:

Yeah I agree with you about the LP filter. It got really cluttered every time it was about to drop, probably should've gone back and fixed it, too lazy I guess haha
