Decide on the winner of the battle in a review below.

damn i really liked both MC's its a hard decision but Senator John Dean edges out DJ Future was a good battle!

Senator John Dean to advance

Senator just killed it. DJFuture did a damn good second verse, but Senator's the fucker with the disses and the flow. Sucks Future got set against Senator first round, would have been interesting to hear him in a more equal battle.

o.O I'm not leaving a massive review on this track. DJ sounded like Soulja Boy and was beefing himself up which doesn't work in a battle. John did sound like he was battling and was throwing more punches and flips. DJ had a few flips, but lacked in personals. I give this one to John off punches alone.

Stay up,

Nimbus The General

Senator for the win. He was vicious on the mic, and destroyed the track!

Since I CAN write a review, I wanna address somethin, Hector's relevant comment about how he thought I could be in a Grind battle cuz my flow in the first verse was not syncopated. Absolutely. I didn't syncopate it on purpose. I want to challenge all the MCs to grow past the syncopated 16th note flow that everyone uses because it's easy.

The reason the flow in the first verse works, I think, is cuz it allows room for EMOTION. I deliberately lean back/start late so I can fit all the words in, but I stay with the beat. Like at 1:40 when I say "I'm not..." that was deliberately meant to fit right in over those two snares. You know? And I'm feelin you, glitchs, when you said my flow scared you at first. I took a big risk, but that's what bein an MC is. It works cuz I stuck with it the whole verse. The beat is quantized. The MC should not be.

Know what I'm sayin? I love hip hop. Don't think I'm like, tryna be all Mr. I'm The Shit, but I just wrote what I felt.

If after all that, you still want a syncopated flow, chk my other song "White Girl Love Song." I did like an early Biggie flow on that. A little more syncopation on that.

Oh yeah, even though I can't vote, I vote for me for the win. Props to Future for that "you even shouted out my Soundcloud. Thanks John!" line. That shit was dope.
